Abstract
This brief biographical review is dedicated to Prof. Evgeni Budevski (1922-2008), an outstanding Bulgarian electrochemist, passionate innovator, respected teacher and inspiring leader of several generations of scientists, to mark the centenary of his birth. The paper is aimed to depict his life and professional career. The highlights of Budevski’s scientific and leadership contributions to the Bulgarian and international electrochemical society, hydrogen technology, nanoscience and nanotechnology communities and Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will be traced. Prof. Evgeni Budevski is distinguished by his authorship of enormous number of original scientific publications and by the novelty of his inventions and patents.
