The journal “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology: Nanostructured materials application and innovation transfer” (NSNT) publishes original articles within the defined Scope and Topics in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology, which have been peer reviewed by experts in the respective field.

It is the official journal of the National Coordination Council on Nanotechnologies (NCCNT).

Open Access

All articles published by NSNT are fully open access articles: immediately freely available to read, download and share online.

All articles published in NSNT are Open-Access articles distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 (CC-BY), which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium provided, if only the original work is properly cited. Copyrights on any research article published in NSNT is retained by the author(s).

Authors grant IEES-BAS a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

APCs are currently waived for all authors.

Peer Review Policy

NSNT follows single-blind peer reviewing procedure. Peer reviews are conducted with scientific independence, quality and speed as guiding principles. Reviewer identity is not revealed at any stage unless explicitly requested by the reviewer.

Publication Ethics

NSNT follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure peer-review and respect ethical policies and standards to publishes high quality scientific papers.

NSNT has adopted a conflict of interests policy according to which the journal requires the corresponding author to submit a Declaration of Interest Form (completed on behalf of all authors) which should be added at the end of the proposed manuscript. The Declaration should clearly state all the necessary information on authorship and contributorship, on handling complaints and appeals, on conflicts of interest/competing interests and on intellectual property.

The NSNT journal is published twice a year:  at the end of the months June and November

Readership

The electrochemical sciences are truly interdisciplinary with far-reaching applications into adjacent areas. Thus, the journal appeals to scientists such as chemists, physicists, biochemists, materials scientists, engineers, etc.

Advertising and sponsorship

NSNT may offer your company/organization advertising and sponsorship opportunities either in digital and print journal volume(s) or on the journal website.

Archiving

In case the journal for some reason is not accessible at the moment or is no longer published the original volumes and articles may be found in the long-term archives.

NSNT retains copies of all submitted manuscripts, supporting files, reviewers’ reports and editorial decisions.

Post-publication corrections and discussions

Requests for Addendum, Erratum, Corrigendum, Full/Partial Retractions or Comments may be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief at antonia.stoyanova@iees.bas.bg.

In most cases of requests for any essential corrections the Editor-in-chief will invite previous reviewers (or alternatively academic experts) to review the requested post-publication notice. After having their opinion, the Editor-in-Chief will answer the author of the request if it is accepted or not.

  • If an Addendum, Erratum, Corrigendum is approved it will be published in the next journal volume with a link to the original article as well as a note will be added to the original article.
  • If a Retraction is approved, the original publication is amended with a “RETRACTED” watermark, but will still be available on the journal’s website for future reference.
  • If a Comment is accepted as reasonable except reports by previous reviewers (or alternatively academic experts) a reply by the authors of the original article will be requested. After receiving the Reviewers’ Reports and Authors’ Reply, the Editor-in-Chief will send them to the author of the Comment. The author of the Comment will be given only one chance to revise the Comment. The Comment and Authors’ Reply will be published as Post-publication Discussion. 

A response to the author of a request may be expected approximately within 4 weeks after the request is received.

How to cite: 

To make sure that references to this journal are correctly recorded and resolved (for example in CrossRef, PubMed, or ISI Web of Knowledge), please use the following abbreviated title in any citations: Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (Sofia) (punctuation may vary according to the style of the citing journal).
